From the moment you set foot in Marrakech where our journey begins you will be transported to a whole new world. Marrakech is known for its bustling markets and souks, delicious food, and local wines.

THE RIVER JOURNEY – AHANSAL

The Ahansal Valley is the gem of Morocco. One of the draws of a kayaking/rafting on the Ahansal River is getting to explore this area which is filled with rich culture, Kasbahs’s and whitewater.  Granite cliffs, rock buttresses and skinny slot canyons loom above a jewel-green valley, clear waters course through the dramatic gorges. These mountains contain some of the most intriguing and beautiful regions of Morocco.

WHITEWATER – INTERMEDIATE

The Ahansal River is located in the Middle Atlas Mountains, a class III/ III+ (III+/IV) river. Prepare for 4 days (80 km) of the spectacular continuous whitewater fun. The Ahansal varies from steep, technical rapids, to big wave trains. Being a snow-melt fed river the level we descend this river on will depend on the annual snowfall, that is also very variable.  Depending on flows this can be a fun technical river or big volume and bouncy! There are literally hundreds of rapids over the course of this remote, multi-day whitewater adventure.
